Why do I have to order in increments of two? Can I order a single bottle?
To be honest, shipping wine is expensive. It’s heavy. Therefore, we ship bottles only in pairs. We also believe strongly in the idea of wine as a record of time, meant to be experienced more than once. One of the most exciting parts of each release is how the bottles evolve over time. While all of our releases are generally ready to pop and pour, we also offer our best guess of when you might want to revisit the wine.
What shipping methods do you use?
We use FedEx Ground and FedEx Express 2-Day to ship our wines. Please be aware that an adult signature (21+) is required for delivery. Carriers will not leave packages unattended, regardless of having a signature on file. We recommend shipping to your office or to a location where someone can sign for you if you are unavailable. If you are shipping your wine as a gift, we recommend alerting the recipient so they can expect delivery and plan accordingly.
I live in the Bay Area. Can I come pick up my wine?
Unfortunately, we do not have a location for you to pick up your wine, even if you live in San Francisco. But we’re working on it!
How can I track my order?
Once you place your order, you will receive an order status and tracking number via email. If you do not receive an email within 48 hours of placing an order,
contact us and we’ll be happy to help you.
Do you ship internationally?
Barrel + Ink is only able to ship to addresses within the United States and to states that permit the shipment of wine directly to consumers. Laws governing the direct shipping of wine is are rapidly evolving. We will expand our service area to additional regions as state laws permits.
What happens if one or both of my bottles are broken when they arrive?
We hope we’ve selected the best packaging and shipping method for our wines, but there are always occasions when accidents happen. The most frequent cause of damaged wine is due to multiple delivery attempts, but if your shipment is damaged upon arrival, please give us a call at (415) 527-3880. We assume no liability for wine damaged due to poor weather during transport or delayed delivery. Please check weather conditions prior to ordering and ensure someone over the age of 21 will be available to receive the wine upon delivery.
